The shuttle bus will only be open to wristband holders only, so look out for our PRs inside the club who will be handing these out.

The bus will be picking people up from the club at 00:00 and 00:20.

Throughout the season you can expect to see artists such as Amirali, Guy Gerber, Hot Since 82, Tiefschwarz and many more, plus a special set from M.A.N.F.L.Y (MANDY vs. Audiofly) on August 2nd.

Exciting times for Sankeys and Flying Circus, who have landed their first residency on the White Isle. Look out for Flying Circus this year as we truly do believe that they will be a force to be reckoned with this season.

Sankeys Ibiza are very pleased to welcome Defected in The House in association with Bomba Events, who will be joining Carnival Cities to host two Saturday night parties in the Sankeys LAB this June.

After a great opening party saw Alexis Raphael, House Gangster DJ Sneak and Sankeys’ new exciting resident William Kouam Djoko blow up the Sankeys Basement, Carnival are now excited for their new partnership with Bomba and Defected for its next two events.

While Bomba are still waiting to open, they will be hosting two events at Sankeys Ibiza with Defected in the House. The two Saturday nights will fall on the 15th and 22nd June, with Defected and Bomba bringing the likes of Derrick Carter, Eats Everything and Dennis Ferrer to Sankeys Ibiza to add to the already great line ups that Carnival brings to the island.

David Vincent says: “”We are very happy to assist our good friends at Bomba and look forward to having two great events with Defected. Both parties complement each other musically, we really cannot wait to hear Eats Everything and Derrick Carter blow up the LAB!”

“OK so we are here, the summer has started, and the guys at Sankeys have asked me to express my feelings about the opening party..

..ok so here goes:

Well, I’m famous for having a moan, or not holding back and expressing myself if i think something is wrong or not done right, but what can i say? This could be a boring read if you want anything juicy like that, it couldn’t have gone any better but if you want to know why i think this then read on, I’m writing this on my flight back from Frankfurt after a gig but the memory of last weeks Sankeys opening is very fresh.

Firstly, i arrived a few hours early before the club opened, i wanted to get a feel of the place, meet everyone, not just the promoters, but also the back room staff, the guys in the office, the bar staff, the lighting guys, the sound guys, EVERYONE. The whole team.

What i love about sankeys is it has a real family vibe, and its funny seeing the big boss David Vincent running from room to room really excited but asking for last minute changes to be done here and there. As it happens, the club was far from ready when i was there, people dragging furniture that was arriving around, lighting getting put in, tills getting taken from room to room..

I went into the DJ booth and looked at the space, as a DJ what an awesome space it is, just the right height, so you can get a real vibe going with the crowd, I like to read the requests that people have on their phones, i know some DJs hate it, but not me, if I’m not gonna play it I’m not gonna play it, but it’s nice to know what vibe they are wanting, and most of the time the requests they have are my own tracks and they are about to be dropped.

What I love about Sankeys and all the rooms is that the DJ booth is not at the end of the room so there are only some people at the front and the rest of the crowd way back, the way it is laid out is across and the DJ booth is in the middle and the crowd is spread from right to left and you can get a full view of the whole crowd and vibe with them.

Anyway I was in the booth and I got goose bumps, I knew what was coming, I knew the tracks I had and I knew what was gonna happen, well I’m lying – I HOPED it was gonna happen.

…But sure enough it did, what an awesome crowd, WOW

I played everything, and kept my signature heavy hitting relentless grooves in every track and heavy drums and full on bass and the crowd just went for it, but I knew Steve Lawler was after me and I didn’t want him to have nowhere to start from, I wanted him to have a clean slate to start from, so 25 mins before i came off i started taking it a bit less intense, kept it deep but went even deeper.

One of the highlights of my set for me was when I dropped a track by Trickski called ‘A good time to pray’  (Axel Boman remix) this is such a chilled track but the mood and energy in the room was special. girls on peoples shoulders at the front, awesome.

But THE highlight of all was when i dropped a track by Massismo Girardi called ’75 / 6′ on the label little helpers, there is a break in the middle of the track, and I noticed on kid at the front, he stopped dancing, eyes shut, hands held up, and he was just in THAT ZONE, as a DJ THAT is where you want to take people, and then when the track kicked back in, the club went crazy including this guy, watch the video back from Mixmag Tv (who were live streaming), at minute 1 hour 16 mins and 15 seconds. If anybody knows this guy, please put me in touch with him, I want to offer him guest list to any gig of mine anywhere for the next 12 months just for feeling it so much, hahaha!

Anyway all DJs on the night were great, Steve Lawler needs no introduction and yet again, absolutely destroyed the dance floor, one of the few DJs who has been there from day 1 and is still at the top; himself, Sasha, Carl Cox, Sven Vath, Ritchie Hawtin – these 5 guys are true legends, and there is a reason they are still there after all these years, it is not hype, it is because they just have it in them to know how to read a crowd and how to bring the music to them, no anthems from Steve, just true underground cuts put together so well the crowd were in a frenzy,

The atmosphere in the other rooms all night was just as electric. For the last 2 hours I went on after all- round-good-guy and great producer Hot Since 82 in the LAB room, b2b with Lawler. This room is the nearest – out of any club I have been in – to Hacienda since i went there and clubbed for the last time in 1996; the shape of the room, the pillars, the way david has designed it, with metal panels and the colours and height of the room – again you could play your set and interact with the crowd at the same time, because of the set up.

All in all it was a fantastic opening and i look forward to starting my weekly resident at the club for VIVa Warriors on June 23rd that goes on for 15 weeks.

Crowned ‘Label of the Year’ by DJ Mag in their best of British Awards, the label will be bringing imprint mainstays such as Huxley, Mosca, Axel Boman, Glimpse, George Fitzgerald, Maxxi Soundsystem and label founder Alex Jones and Jamie Russell (Cedric Maison), among others, to put Sankeys stunning Void soundsystem through its paces. Additionally friends of the label such as Skream, Midland, Luke Vibert, Martyn and Boddika will also be joining the party.

Hypercolour will be asking quality imprints to co-host a select numbers of nights, meaning Craig Richards will be taking charge with his The Nothing Special imprint, Will Saul with Aus Music and Scuba with his on-point Hotflush Recordings, in what is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the summer.
